The available room is upstairs and faces west, so it gets nice light in the afternoon. The window overlooks the magnolia tree. It is on the small side (8.5x10.5). There is a closet plus a built-in shelf cabinet in the room, and it has berber carpeting. Utilities besides garbage are shared. I would like to share the expense of satellite and wifi as well, but that can be negotiated. Some information about me: I am co-owner of the house. I like the space to be clean and comfortable, and I am looking for someone who can strike a good balance between friendly interaction and having their own life. I am down to share an occasional meal and a beverage at times as well. I am a high school teacher here in Berkeley, and I am gone all day during the week. I am active and enjoy having friends over, but also value some alone time. Some of my hobbies include sports (surfing, biking, rock climbing, volleyball, watching a good baseball game, etc), cooking, gardening, and travel. **A heater vent connects this room to my room. It is not see-through, but sound does carry. For this reason, it would not be ideal for someone who plans to have their significant other over frequently. There is a Trader Joe's in walking distance to the apartment and freeway 280 is about 1 mile form the apartment. I am renting the unit for 6 months and then will go month to month from there out. I have lived with roommates in the past and think its great when you find like minded people at similar stages in their life or with similar interest and hope to find the same again; I'm not looking for a new best friend but if we can hang out and get along it makes things a lot more enjoyable. A bit about me: I recently turned 30 and am really into my career right now. I work for one of the hottest start up in the valley and am very eager not to miss the boat so I tend to work about 50-60 hours a week. I very much work hard and play hard when time permits.
