<summary type="text/plain">I have leased a 2br 2 bat apartment on the border of Los Altos and Cupertino right off of 280 on Foothiil/ Grant (Just past Hwy 85) If you are from the area, then you know that this is prime location. I have lived with roommates in the past and think its great when you find like minded people at similar stages in their life or with similar interest and hope to find the same again; I'm not looking for a new best friend but if we can hang out and get along it makes things a lot more enjoyable.

A bit about me:

I recently turned 30 and am really into my career right now. I work for one of the hottest start up in the valley and am very eager not to miss the boat so I tend to work about 50-60 hours a week. I very much work hard and play hard when time permits. I grew up in the are and have many lots of friends and family in the are, so on my down time I try to get together with some of them. I enjoy cooking, watching movies, sports, and traveling.

<title>{NORTH AMERICA &gt; RENTALS} - Br Avail in 1925 home in Beautiful Glenview! Great roommates! (oakland piedmont / montclair) $950</title>
<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://articles.world-of-newave.info/regional/north-america/united-states/california/metro-areas/san-francisco-bay-area/business-and-economy/real-estate/rentals/br-avail-in-1925-home-in-beautiful-glenview-great-20080694334.htm"/>
<summary type="text/plain">Rent a Room is a 3 BR Charming 1925 Home in Beautiful Glenview! Good, fun people!

House will be shown this weekend (Saturday/Sunday) by appointment and is available as soon as July 1st! Email for more info!

The Neighborhood:

Property located on neighborly, tree-lined street off Park Blvd only 3 blocks from "downtown Glenview" (coffee, groceries, restaurants, nail salons, hardware store); close to Lake Merrit (1.5 mi) and to Montclair downtowns as well. Great commute to SF (casual carpool and Transbay Express within blocks of house). If you drive to work, house is located within 1 mile of I-580 and Hwy 13. Ample street parking. Safe community; close to parks in Oakland Hills; great for walking, running, biking as soon as you step out the door!

The Property:

Newly renovated, historic house. Lofted ceilings and hardwood floors throughout. Brand new paint in all rooms. Kitchen is completely reconstructed with granite counters, brand new stainless steel appliances, and new cabinetry. Living room and dining rooms are light, airy, and welcoming. Views of SF Bay and Oakland Hills. Overall feel of house is very positive - good vibes.

Do you have hobbies or lots of sports equipment? No problem. There is lots of storage space! There is even a semi-finished part of the basement (with windows) perfect for an art studio, workshop, space for music practice, or we can convert it into a movie theatre or game room! Washer/Dryer in basement.

Garden? BBQ? There is a small space behind the house for planters/pots for gardening and/or space for patio furniture and BBQ. I started a vegetable garden this spring so we will have fresh tomatoes this August! We have also started a weekly summer grill night that we host and invite our friends.

About You:

Considerate, social, friendly, reliable/responsible young adult (mid 20's - mid 30's). Open communicator, tolerant of religious/philosophical differences, non-smoker/non drug-user. It would be great if you were open to the occasional communal meal together! Open to visitors and guests, hosting dinners/movie nights/BBQ's. Open to eco-friendly lifestyle; not a TV addict; clean/tidy. No pets.

About Me (us):

I (Lindsey) am an outgoing, warm, active, young professional female in my mid 20's. I work as a nurse in the East Bay. Hospitality is big with me; I enjoy inviting others into my space. Other things that describe me: Adventurous/sporty/outdoorsy, open-minded Christian, salsa dancer, (very) amateur triathlete, reader, guitar player, traveler. Hoping to be someday: gardener (starting with keeping the indoor plants alive), chef extraordinaire (but pasta is what I do right now), maybe a grad student down the road. I bike and run in the neighborhood; it is great!

Kim is a kind, open-minded high school English Literature teacher who has great style (clothing/decorating) on a great budget! She also coaches soccer, practices yoga, travels in her time off as a teacher, and also dreams of grad school someday. A newer addition to the house, I can vouch that she is a courteous and fun roommate.

We currently share food and split the costs, though this is not mandatory in a potential roommate (but it would be nice). We all pitch in and do weekly chores to keep the house in good shape.

The Details:

Room available July 1st.

Rent is $950, includes water and garbage. PG&E/cable TV/internet to be split 3 ways.

I will show the house by appointment. For serious interest, there will be a rental application fee of $15 for credit checks.

Extra details:  No pets.  Occasional overnight guests welcome, but no 4th roommates, please!  &#9786;

Google: Intersection of Hampel and Randolph Ave., Oakland, CA 94602

Hope to hear from you! I know the price seems high, but it is SO worth it!

<title>{NORTH AMERICA &gt; RENTALS} - Charming Sunny Victorian with 2 Bedrooms of Your Own (noe valley) $1200</title>
<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://articles.world-of-newave.info/regional/north-america/united-states/california/metro-areas/san-francisco-bay-area/business-and-economy/real-estate/rentals/charming-sunny-victorian-with-2-bedrooms-of-your-20080652432.htm"/>
<summary type="text/plain">Home: I have a sunny victorian upper flat, nestled in Noe Valley. And I'm looking for a great new roommate who will enjoy two private rooms of their own. The flat is sunny and spacious with high ceilings, skylights, tall windows, hardwood floors and white walls. The flat was built in the early 1900s and it does show age. The walls have some cracks and plaster chips and other funky details of an old flat. Yet the bones and structure are elegant and majestic. Some find that charming and some prefer brand new condos with matching carpet. If you're in the previous category, keep on reading.

Community space: Living room is huge and grand with a turret of bay windows. Most of the living room furniture will be leaving, so if you have any existing furniture, that's a great thing. One full Bathroom to share with 60s style tile, with a bath/shower and super sunny skylight. Kitchen is charming with built in breakfast nook.

Your personal space: Two rooms of our own. You have a large bedroom with wi fi and cable with two big windows. And the 2nd room is smaller with a sunny window facing west, which you could make your office, yoga or art studio. Be inspired.

Neighborhood:24th street is wonderful and only four blocks away with boutiques, cafes, fresh produce and restaurants is just a four block stroll. A launderette is across the street from our flat. Street parking is average for SF. Two parks with tennis courts nearby. Easy to get downtown with the J church muni stop being two blocks away and Bart is relatively close on 24th &amp; Mission. Convenient commuter access to freeways 280 and 101.

Me: You'd be sharing the flat with moi. I'm female, 36, a left leaning type with a full time job working in a community clinic. I enjoy NPR, the New Yorker and foreign films. I'm pretty easy going and independent. I'm open to cooking some meals together, if it strikes our mood. I'm not into hearing sports playing on the TV, it just kind of blares through out the house and takes over. I'm sorry sports fans. I like Project Runway, but I promise not to force you to watch it, if you don't want to. I think of this flat as a sanctuary from the outside world. So I like to come home to a beautiful, peaceful and clean house. If you do too, keep reading.

You: A nice person in your 30s to 40s with a full time job. Someone who is responsible, respectful, financially secure, emotionally stable, good social &amp; open-communication skills, easy going, has their own life, no pets, no smoking or drug habits, has outgrown the need to party and cleans up after themselves.

Rent: $1200 - plus utilities (water, pg&e, wi-fi, garbage, cable) Move in cost is 1st and last months rent, plus $1000 deposit = total $3400.

Available: July 1st.

If you think this is perfect for you. Please email me and tell me a little about yourself. What do you do for a living? What is your typical weekly schedule? How old are you? Where do you live now? Why are you moving? Your hobbies and interests? Why you think this is a good fit for you and any questions you might have about me or the place. Cheers.

<summary type="text/plain">So I'm a recent college grad looking for one, or ideally two, roommates to share a house or apartment in Mountain View. I am looking for male or female roommates around the early-to-mid 20s range. I myself am a male in my early 20s. You should be: clean, friendly, laid-back, not a big partier. Hopefully you are into sports and/or video games, my biggest hobbies, but if not that's cool too. If nothing else you should just be someone that likes to chill out, maybe have BBQ's and go for a drink every now and then. Why do I want roommates? Basically to meet some new people as I am fairly new to the Bay area.

Important note: I haven't found a place per se, but once I have the roommates we can all look for something together and find something we all like. I don't know about you, but I'm fed up with all the ads on here saying what you "can't" do, and all the ads from creepy guys looking for "bodybuilders." So I am trying something a little different here.

Anyway, if you are interested please shoot me an email with some info about yourself (hobbies, interests, work, etc) and we'll see if it's a match. Thanks, and have a great day.</summary>

<title>{NORTH AMERICA &gt; RENTALS} - Large living rm in 2 bed/1 bath. Available July 1 &amp; possibly sooner (berkeley) $321</title>
<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://articles.world-of-newave.info/regional/north-america/united-states/california/metro-areas/san-francisco-bay-area/business-and-economy/real-estate/rentals/large-living-rm-in-2-bed-1-bath-available-july-1-amp-20080674322.htm"/>
<summary type="text/plain">One of our roommates is moving back home due to a family emergency and her room will be available starting Tuesday, July 1st (possibly sooner if desired). Rent is cheap at only $321/month + utilities for the living room.

It's a two bedroom, 1 bath apartment that you'll be sharing with two others. The living room is all yours.

Additional Details:
- $321/month + utilities
- Room is approximately 15'3” x 9' including a closet, and a huge window w/ plenty of sunshine.
- room unfurnished. rest of the apt is furnished though.
- Available July 1rst at the latest. Possibly sooner if desired.
- Located at Delaware St &amp; Milvia St, Berkeley, CA
- Short walk to the UC Berkeley campus, BART, and 24 Hour Fitness
- Utilities (cable modem, phone, and electricity) split evenly. Last three month's average was under $60 per month per person.
- Full kitchen and bathroom privileges (why others restrict this, I don't know)
- Covered reserved parking space is additional $50/month. Plenty of street parking also available.
- Coin-operated laundry in the building

About the roommates:
- Newton (in the larger bedroom) is a 2001 UC Berkeley Alumnus, a software engineer by trade, and currently working on his own business. Spends his free time at Cal football games, in the gym, practicing mixed martial arts, and goofing around w/ friends.
- Liheng (in the smaller bedroom) is a PHD candidate at UC Berkeley. Fluent in Mandarin and English. He has a lot of hobbies including various kinds of sports and Chinese cooking. Very easy going.

About you:
- drama free - we haven't had a roommate spat here in over three years and we want to keep it that way
- easy going - see above
- no recreational drugs outside of alcohol
- takes initiative - if you see something wrong will you do something about it or shrug and think "not my job"?
- open communicator - If you don't like something will you talk to us about it or just quietly seethe over it?
- While we're open to females (the roommate currently living there is female) be aware that both other roommates are male and of the limited privacy the living room offers.
- Good cold tolerance - This apartment gets very cold in the winter (as low as upper 50's) and we do *not* use a heater. On the plus side the apartment stays nice and cool during the summer. Even during heat waves in the summer the temperature never gets above the mid 70's. If you don't like the cold this apartment probably isn't for you.
- heavy sleeper - While we won't cook or wash dishes while you're sleeping we may microwave something or come home/leave the apartment while you sleep. We try to be quiet but obviously some noise is inevitable.

If you're interested send us an email and tell us about yourself!

o Buying and maintaining these furnishings and services in an apartment in a far less attractive neighborhood could be a hassle and cost far more! This is a great deal for busy people that want to simplify living necessities &amp; live well.

• Lockable bedrooms. Existing home occupants are 4 reasonably neat, courteous, responsible, working people with busy schedules. With the somewhat staggered work hours of residents, the home often seems (and is) empty or almost empty!

Visitors ok. Rent adder and owner approval required for couples or other long-term guests.

 • Share large living &amp; dining room, two bathrooms, office &amp; spacious kitchen. The wireless internet connected bedrooms &amp; common areas are perfect for frequent net users or occasional telecommuter.

 • Existing occupants are hardworking, caring, easy going and friendly, but we mostly keep to ourselves. We are not looking for new friends; only for reliable pleasant, independent housemates that will get along with and respect one another. A sense of humor, honesty and a cooperative nature are pluses.

o Buying and maintaining these furnishings and services in an apartment in a far less attractive neighborhood could be a hassle and cost far more! This is a great deal for busy people that want to simplify living necessities & live well.

 • Share large living & dining room, two bathrooms, office & spacious kitchen. The wireless internet connected bedrooms & common areas are perfect for frequent net users or occasional telecommuter.

 • Enjoy the huge rear deck facing a 4-acre private scenic, wooded park with walking trail.

 • Existing occupants, including the owner, spend large portions of time at work and play away from residence. Owner spends about 3/4 of time living & working in Baja CA on sustainable development for indigenous communities by partnering with them for utility scale wind power development on their lands.

 • Existing occupants are hardworking, caring, easy going and friendly, but we mostly keep to ourselves. We are not looking for new friends; only for reliable pleasant, independent housemates that will get along with and respect one another. A sense of humor, honesty and a cooperative nature are pluses.

• New carpets or tile / painting in bedrooms.

• 10 year old Yorky; Saysha lives here. 1 year old Yorkie Mars visits occasionally. No more pets, please.

• Non-smokers strongly preferred. Smoking only outside on porch, deck or yard with proper disposal of all matches and butts!

 • Periodic housecleaning of common areas is included, but the day-to-day rule is: “If you mess it up, clean-it up promptly.” (“If you borrow it, replace it promptly”, etc.)

• Housemates professions & hobbies: Mike F, 55: Clean, Renewable Energy & community development. As hobby has written a book and produced CD’s with Grammy winners. Sings (poorly) to the yorkies. Phiyen V., 40: waitress. Likes music, keeps to self; Owner’s brother Roberto. 50-something, Elvis impersonator, traveling salesman, sports enthusiast, fun-loving, gregarious and hard working. Out of state more than half the time. Phiyen’s sister Thuy feeds Mike and the dogs every day. She sometimes takes Saysha to her home at night, and often stays here when Mike is in Mexico. Thuy has priority access to the kitchen from 6-7, and to the big screen TV from 7-9. Thuy & Phiyen’s nephew Alex, 30, Chiropractic Grad, aspiring fireman, sports enthusiast, free-thinker, school maintenance worker. Stays here very occasionally, temporarily. Richard: 40-something. Private contractor on a six month consulting job for the state. Returns to Sacramento on weekends. Works long hours. Nice, Friendly.

• We prefer someone who would like to stay more than 6 months and less than 2 -3 years.

 • First month’s rent & 1/2 month deposit are required in advance.

 • Contact: Mike Folloni by email or phone: (510) 268-9999 / 1-(888) SOX-2004 for info and/or photos of spaces.<blockquote style="background:#FAFAFA;border:1px dotted #E6E6E6;font:italic 10pt Times New Roman;padding:9px;">& utilities/amenities. If you want privacy, I respect that. If you are sociable, I respect that as well as long as you know your boundaries. We can hang out if you like, I'm up for movies, going out for drinks, art shows, poetry slams, clubs, sight-seeing, going out to drink coffee/eat, amusement parks, host small dinner gathering, etc.

My hobbies include reading (currently reading about the Bilderberg group)love to eat new foods, traveling on the cheap, shopping for bargains (love garage sells and flea markets) photography, engaging in community activism /volunteering when time permits. cutting boards, 2-oven gas stove, 2 broilers .... ohh, the pain of separation!

Double-paned windows, high ceilings, *two* bonus rooms downstairs for

hobbies, Lovely light on *all* sides of this 1903 home. (Paint colors in pix

may look garish, but are actually much more muted.)

PLEASE NOTE: We have a completely finished attic (500 sq. ft.) with private bath that

can be included for another $425/month. It's a phenomenal, private space with

seven windows, plus a skylight, and great views and ambiance.

Non-smoking families with kids, med students, etc., are welcome Pet OK, but

please note that small back area is NOT suitable for dogs. Two blocks

to the N-Judah, yet also walkable to UCSF. House faces GGPark which is very

pretty, through the living room's bay windows.

Let me know if you'd like to see more pictures.

Thank you.
