The rent is $3250, the front space can also be shared by a few people. The address is 224 6th Street.

Photography studio looking to share beautiful showroom

We have a great opportunity for the right person to share an amazing commercial showroom in SoMa. Newly renovated spectacular space. Very open layout, dark wood floor, high ceilings, the space will take your breath away.

Our company is in search of a start up or established business involved in the visual media field. Our ideal situation would be to have person in the event industry.

Floral, planner, videographer, etc

Also open to graphic design studio, Ad agency, fashion design.

The showroom is great for consolations, client meetings, display space, etc but we are not looking to have it be a retail space.

Not opposed to splitting the front area for two ideal candidates. We want to create a collaborative environment and are looking for a business that compliments ours. This could be a great networking opportunity for the right business.

Looking to fill the space immediately.

<title>{NORTH AMERICA &gt; RENTALS} - Small room in amazing apartment thru Jan or Feb '09 (inner richmond) $900 1bd</title>
<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://articles.world-of-newave.info/regional/north-america/united-states/california/metro-areas/san-francisco-bay-area/business-and-economy/real-estate/rentals/small-room-in-amazing-apartment-thru-jan-or-feb-09-2008101867.htm"/>
<summary type="text/plain">We have a small bedroom available in our 3 bd. apartment Nov.1 (possibly sooner) thru January or February of next year (we are moving out of SF around that time, but don't have an exact date yet, so this may be flexible). If you MUST stay until February, it may not work out since we can't guarantee the move-out date yet.

THE APARTMENT:

This is a beautiful, large, remodeled apartment. It has 3 bd. and 1 ba. (toilet and shower in separate rooms), a sunroom, formal dining room, large living room w/ working fireplace, and a remodeled kitchen with nice appliances, d/w, and w/d. Entire apartment has hardwood floors and nice details. We also have a backyard that is shared with just one other unit. Apartment is fully furnished except for your room.

THE ROOM:

Is small, but works well for someone who doesn't have much stuff. Our current roommate fit a twin bed, dresser, and bookshelf in there. No separate closet, but there is a shelf on one end of the room and current roommate put up a tension rod to hang clothes, so it basically became a closet without doors.

US:

We are a lesbian couple (25 and 26 yrs. old). One of us is a photography student and the other is a nanny. We like to keep the apartment clean and looking nice (since it is a nice place), but are not anal about it. We are pretty relaxed and don't have parties or lots of people over all the time.

PETS:

We have 2 tiny dogs (chihuahua and chi/ jack russell mix) and 2 cats. They are given the run of the apartment (except your room of course), so you must like animals and be respectful of them. While they are not perfect, they are pretty well behaved most of the time. The dogs are pretty relaxed at home and are not your typical yappy chihuahuas. They are friendly and love attention. The cats are friendly too and will pretty much mind their own business. Currently we also have a foster kitten and we're not sure how long we'll have him, but he stays in the back of the house.

YOU:

Preferably female, somewhat close to our age, laid back, respectful, pays rent/ bills on time, and willing to help out with household stuff. No smoking in the house and no drugs (occasional 420 ok).

Rent is $900 and bills are split by 3 and usually end up being around $70/ mo per person. This covers PGE, cable, wireless internet, and trash.

Please email if you are interested or have any questions.

Thanks, and good luck in your search!</summary>

<title>{NEWS &gt; BREAKING NEWS} - Photographer Awarded TED Prize for Work on War, Disease</title>
<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://articles.world-of-newave.info/news/breaking-news/photographer-awarded-ted-prize-for-work-on-war-disease-2008102962.htm"/>
<summary type="text/plain">: Photo: James Nachtwey
Last year, acclaimed war photographer James Nachtwey was honored with the 2007 Technology, Entertainment, Design (TED) Prize for his work documenting images of war, disease and political unrest across the globe for over 25 years. Along with President Bill Clinton and Harvard biologist E.O. Wilson, Nachtwey was awarded $100,000 to help him bring "one wish to change the world" to fruition.

James' wish was to share an underreported worldwide story, prove the power of news photography in the digital age and raise awareness about a global health issue that has the potential to become a worldwide pandemic ? Extensively Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis (XDR TB).

Tonight Nachtwey will unveil the images of the disease he hopes to combat at a special screening at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City. His poignant images will be used to offer awareness about the worldwide spread of tuberculosis through a multimedia campaign on all seven continents, in 50 cities around the globe, and across the web. You can find out more information about screenings and the images at www.xdrtb.org.

Nachtwey shared his digital images with us and took a few moments to tell Wired.com what he learned during the yearlong process of tracking the global spread of tuberculosis.
: Photo: James Nachtwey

Wired.com: When did you first encounter XDR-TB?

James Nachtwey: In 2000, I did a story for Time on AIDS in Africa. It was my first introduction to that subject. In South Africa...

French doors in the kitchen open up onto a huge private deck with great views of twin peaks. Did I mention that we have laundry, a garden and shared parking downstairs?

2 blocks from Castro muni station and J the line, Dolores Park, 3 blocks to bi-rite, Farina, Delfina, the mission, 5 minutes to 101 and 280. One of the greatest locations in San Francisco.

Deposit is also only $500, which is awesome, with me being the primary leaseholder.

Me: Im 25, f, semi-single, currently studying for my real estate license. A rare SF native that loves rock climbing, Obama, photography, yoga, hiking, cooking, dancing with my ipod on while I mop. I like to keep things neat but am not cleaning fiend.

You: cool, employed guy or gal who usually smells good, and won't be a stranger, passive aggressive and will also buy sponges and toilet paper when we need them. Ideally someone that I would want to invite out for drinks and to hang with my friends. So shoot me an email with a little bit about yourself-not your whole life story and medical history, not looking for a hubby, just a roomie. Pets are negotiable.

<title>{NORTH AMERICA &gt; RENTALS} - Room for 1 available Nov 1st in 2BR w/1 female and 2 felines (SOMA / south beach) $900</title>
<link rel="alternate" type="text/html" href="http://articles.world-of-newave.info/regional/north-america/united-states/california/metro-areas/san-francisco-bay-area/business-and-economy/real-estate/rentals/room-for-1-available-nov-1st-in-2br-w-1-female-and-2-2008102742.htm"/>
<summary type="text/plain">Hello potential housemate!

I'm the master tenant of a 2BR flat (been here almost 3yrs) with an unfurnished room that will be available November 1st. My current housemate is leaving because she accepted a job offer in SoCal.

First of all...

...I have 2 male cats (7 &amp; 11 yrs old) who stay indoors and my lease does not allow any more pets.

...Please, DO NOT respond if you have pets of your own you need to move with.

Now that we've cleared that, let's get to the details...

About the flat:

It's a nice yet modest flat with one large common room open to the kitchen, one full bathroom, and two bedrooms. There are neighbors above and below (and on both sides, but they're in different buildings) - everyone is pleasant and our landlord is great.

--> Located near 6th &amp; Folsom - about halfway between CalTrain and Market St Muni/BART (~15 min walk to either)

--> The room available is approx. 11' x 13' with a closet approx. 2' x 5' and has a door to a small back deck.

--> I call the flat "modest" because:

.... there is no dishwasher

.... the only storage spaces are the bedroom closets

.... there is no laundry on-site (BrainWash is ~2 blocks : you can have a beer &amp; fries while you launder!)

--> Street parking only (fairly easy) - residential parking permit required

--> Whole Foods = 2 blocks; TJ's = ~5 blocks; Rainbow = ~8 blocks (note these are SoMa blocks which are longer than typical)

About me:

--> Responsible, respectful, easy-going, sometimes silly, occasionally crafty, 30something, vegetarian, M-F office worker who enjoys laughing, cooking, music, dancing, sewing, camping, movies, photography, and spending time with my friends and felines... and that's just for starters.

--> Mostly tidy but not a clean freak - generally keep any messiness to my personal space, but I'm not perfect.

--> Yes, I'm veg, semi-organic eater, recycler, and user of eco-friendly cleaning products - cuz it makes sense, not because I'm über-hippie-chick.

--> Enjoy partaking in moderation be it alcohol, 420, or an occasional cig (<--outdoors!)

--> Occasionally have a friend or three over but not very often and usually keep it low key.

About you:

--> You are one person, not a couple.

--> Similar qualities to my own : mature, responsible, respectful, self-dependent, conscientious, trustworthy, sociable, low- to no-drama, preferably vegetarian (or don't cook meat at home), enjoy laughing and can do so at yourself, and interested in making this your home for a longer term.

--> Responsible enough to pay rent when it is due and without having to be asked for it.

--> Willing to be friendly and communicative.

--> Able to clean up after yourself and help care for the common spaces (take the trash/recycling out, vacuum, buy tp, etc... when you see these things are needed.)

--> Have no pets of your own but love cats (my boys will love you back x2!)

--> Interested in sharing a dinner, a bottle of beer or wine, and perhaps a movie once in a while.

--> Able to enjoy a drink or smoke in moderation but have no addictions.

Other things to mention:

--> $900/mo includes rent &amp; utilities

--> First, last, and 1/2 mo deposit = $2250 to move in (willing to negotiate payments but first month rent has to clear before I hand over the keys.)

--> I have basic DSL service to share and would like to make it wireless (bonus if you have the means and/or knowledge to set that up!)

--> I do not have a TV and prefer a common space without one but am not solidly opposed (basic cable is available if you connect to the coaxial.)

Still with me? Sweet!

If this sounds like your kind of place then please send an email which shows you actually read this ad and include some info about yourself, your lifestyle, what appeals to you about this situation and why you're a great person to share a home with.

It would be swell if you included a phone number and best times to reach you.

Feel free to ask any questions you've got about the place or myself as well.

Please keep in mind that the more you share about yourself the better idea I'll have if we'd make good housemates and if I'd like to meet you. I know the housing search can be rough but I'd really like for our personalities and lifestyles to be compatible so we can create a comfortable home for both of us.

Thanks for reading and good luck in your search!

First of all...

...I have 2 male cats (7 & 11 yrs old) who stay indoors and my lease does not allow any more pets.

...Please, DO NOT respond if you have pets of your own you need to move with.

--> Located near 6th & Folsom - about halfway between CalTrain and Market St Muni/BART (~15 min walk to either)

--> The room available is approx. 11' x 13' with a closet approx. 2' x 5' and has a door to a small back deck.

--> I call the flat "modest" because:

.... there is no dishwasher

.... the only storage spaces are the bedroom closets

.... there is no laundry on-site (BrainWash is ~2 blocks : you can have a beer & fries while you launder!)

--> $900/mo includes rent & utilities
