Two extremely easygoing people seek a third for the master bedroom.

ABOUT THE ROOM

- You'd be moving into the master bedroom, approximately 11' x 13' (143 sq ft).
- There are two closets, one 8' wide, the other 4'. Both are about 2' deep.
- There is an attached half-bath (sink, toilet).

This room is easily big enough to fit a bed and a couch comfortably if you so choose. It gets good light, and the

main window faces out onto trees and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Click here for pictures of the room and house, with

accompanying commentary.

Move-in would be 11/1.

ABOUT THE PEOPLE

Jon is in his mid-20s and works for the internet downtown in the Financial District.

Julie Ann is in her mid-20s and also works downtown.

We're not dating. You won't be living with a couple!

We are incredibly easy people to live with.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Someone we like and get along with!
- Someone who doesn't mind music. One of us plays a few instruments, usually during the day, never late at

night.
- Someone who will be comfortable hanging out in the house.

WHAT WE'RE NOT LOOKING FOR

- Someone who needs their housemates to be their NEW BEST FRIENDS OMG.
- Someone who spends all their time shut up in their room with the door closed.
- Someone with passive-aggressive tendencies and/or communication difficulties.
- Someone who leaves dirty dishes in the sink, unwashed, for many days consecutively.

Contact us by email and we'll set up a time we can meet you!

In interviews published in the Bristol Evening Post, Jon Lewis gave a number of reasons why Gloucestershire had such a poor season but curiously enough did not mention his own patchy form. He also didn't highlight his wretched, uninspired captaincy which clearly led to despondency amongst his bowling colleagues which quickly spread like wildfire throughout the team and long-suffering supporters.

{LITERATURE > CYBERPUNK} - Mackerel economics in prison

Today's Wall Street Journal has a fascinating article about "macks," tins of mackerel that are commonly used for bartering in prison. Macks took over around 2004 when smoking bans in federal prison knocked out the previous currency: packs of cigarettes. From the WSJ: Unlike... more expensive delicacies, former prisoners say, the mack is a good stand-in for the greenback because each can (or pouch) costs about $1 and few -- other than weight-lifters craving protein -- want to eat it. So inmates stash macks in lockers provided by the prison and use them to buy goods, including illicit ones such as stolen food and home-brewed "prison hooch," as well as services, such as shoeshines and cell cleaning...There are other threats to the mackerel economy, says (Jon) Linder, of (supplier) Power Commissary. "There are shortages world-wide, in terms of the catch," he says. Combined with the weak dollar, that's led to a surging mack. Now, he says, a pouch of mackerel sells for more than $1 in most commissaries. Another problem with mackerel is that once a prisoner's sentence is up, there's little to do with it -- the fish can't be redeemed for cash, and has little value on the outside. As a result, says Mr. Levine, prisoners approaching their release must either barter or give away their stockpiles. Mackerel Economics in Prison Leads to Appreciation for Oily Fillets...
