<description>Howdy. I'll tell you right now that this place is a real bargain. The basics: rent = $750/month. Term is Oct. 15-July 31 (and possibly longer if everyone decides to stay at end of current lease).

The Situation: One of our lovely roommates is moving out of state and so we have a large bedroom open for rent. The bedroom has a huge closet and great acoustics.

The Apartment: We live in a 4 bedroom, 1.5 split-bath apartment in Upper Haight. The location can't be beat...in fact, Jimi Hendrix thought the same thing so he once rented out our place for his girlfriends. Janis Joplin lived right across the street and the Grateful Dead were houses away...now you can live here! The kitchen is large, the living room is sunny, and there's plenty of storage space in the basement.

The Roommates: You would be living with a female graphic designer and male photographer/entrepreneur (those two are a couple and share a room), a female student, male SF State grad student/group home employee. Oh, and a friendly puppy named Olive (sorry no other pets are allowed). Everyone gets along well and we enjoy each other's company.

The Hood: Upper Haight is a great place to live. We're across the street from the 33, a few blocks from the 6, 7 and 71 and a few more blocks from the N. There are bars, restaurants and once the shop owners figure out you're a local, you'll start to get a discounted price.

You: Female preferred. Our house has been very peaceful and cooperative and we'd like to keep it that way. We keep it clean by just being slightly more tidy than messy...somehow it works. Generally quiet on worknights but we often have parties around big events (think Bay to Breakers, Haight St. festival, etc.) Please let us know a bit about yourself and what you are looking for in your home when you reply. Thanks!

Other Stuff: Pictures available upon request. Move-in available on October 15 and we'll start showing the apartment next week. Rent is $750/month, while bills are shared among everybody. Usually everything comes out to about $40-50 per month. Security deposit of $850 is required, which you'll get back at end of lease.

We look forward to meeting you.
