<description>On the September 3 broadcast of San Francisco radio station KSFO's The Lee Rodgers Show, Rogers said of Takeru Kobayashi, six-time winner of the
Nathan's
Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island, New York, "Just eat, eat,
eat, and you gain
no weight. Oh, there is no justice. God
needs to take a hand in this." Co-host Tom Benner, known as "Officer Vic," agreed and
added: "Even things out.
Wait, that's socialism, I'm sorry. Forget it." Rodgers replied, "Well,
you're right, you're
right. Well, under Barack Obama, then, it'll probably be
done." He
continued: "Oh, lordy. Bring us your tired, your
poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free. ... Free of the stifling stupidity of liberalism, which disguises slavery as benevolence. That's -- that's the
program for the Obama campaign, by the way." Benner replied: "Arbeit macht frei." Rodgers then said, "Yeah. Make more of
them dependent on the
government."

The German phrase "arbeit macht frei" translates to "work makes one
free" and was written on the gate at
the entrance to
Auschwitz and other Nazi concentration camps.

From the September 3 broadcast of
KSFO's The Lee Rodgers Show:

RODGERS: These people who get
involved in these competitive eating contests, I guess -- and the guy who wins a lot of them is this
little Asian guy, Chinese-American [sic],
I believe, and he is a regular winner of that, like the --

OFFICER VIC: The hot dog one.

RODGERS: The hot dog eating contest,
the one that --

OFFICER VIC: Nathan's, I think, does it.

RODGERS: Nathan's, exactly, on Coney Island in
New York. But, well, I'm thinking
-- I'm thinking
retirement job for us one of these years, OV. We will just go in that field of competitive eating.

OFFICER VIC: Competitive eating, uh-huh.

RODGERS: And that little guy who
wins that Nathan's thing most years, I don't know if he did this
year, but he's up against these 300-pound
guys and you figure this is going to be no competition. They've got room
in there for, you know, a barrel of
whatever. And he out-eats them and never puts on a pound.

OFFICER VIC: No.

RODGERS: For which we really hate
him.

OFFICER VIC: [laughs] That's just not right.

RODGERS: Just eat, eat, eat, and you
gain no weight. Oh, there is no justice. God needs to take a hand in this.

OFFICER VIC: Even things out. Wait,
that's socialism, I'm sorry. Forget it.

RODGERS: Well, you're right, you're right. Well,
under Barack Obama, then, it'll probably be done.

OFFICER VIC: Yes.

RODGERS: Oh, lordy. Bring us your tired, your poor,
your huddled masses yearning to be free.

OFFICER VIC: Your ill at heart.

RODGERS: Free of the stifling
stupidity of liberalism, which disguises slavery as benevolence. That's -- that's the domestic program for the Barack Obama campaign, by the
way.

OFFICER VIC: Arbeit macht frei.

RODGERS: Yeah. Make more of them
dependent on the government. I used to live in Chicago,
along the Dan Ryan Expressway, south of downtown Chicago.
These rows and rows of government housing, and if anybody ever needed an object
lesson in what social programs created to make people more dependent on the
government lead to --
what was it, the Taylor Homes, I think, was one of them -- just miles and miles that
looked like federal prisons, people lived in there, you know, subsidized, cheap
rent, blah-blah-blah. And they were controlled by gangsters. And the Democrat
do-gooders of the Daley machine who have run Chicago for years only wanted one thing from
these people. They'd round them up like cattle on Election Day to vote.
And then, you go back, and you go back to your drugs, and stay drunk all day,
and get your welfare check and all stuff, and leave us alone.
